The Persimmon Branch Farm offers LOCALLY GROWN Apples, Peaches, Persimmons, German Johson Heirloom Tomatoes and Asparagus.  We pride ourselves in the fact that we do NOT use any dangerous restricted use chemicals on our fruit!

 APPLES

Our season will begin the first part of July 2012 with the Heirloom Gravenstein Apple.  This apple offers a deleciate balance between sweet and tart, very juicy apple that is great to eat or bake with. 

Our customers cannot wait for this apple to be ready! 

We look forward to seeing you when our farm stand opens mid June 2012.

Varieties include:

• EMPIRE APPLES 
  This is a versatile apple that is wonderful for cooking, sauce-making and enjoying fresh!  The Empire offers a delicate sweet flavor with a finish of the mildest tart flavor--an extremely juicy, crispy apple.  

• RED DELICIOUS APPLES   Our Red Delicious Apples are NOT like the ones from the grocery store! These apples fit their namesake--crispy, juicy, sweet and snappy.  Make sure you have a napkin handy when you bite into one of these beauties!  You can get yours freshly picked at our farm.  Stop by our farm stand today and see what these varieties of apples are SUPPOSED to taste like!
  

• GRANNY SMITH
  Well known for their crisp texture and tart flavor, these apples are perfect for all of your baking and canning needs. Enjoy them fresh or cooked--they're perfect for those carmel apples and candy apples that are synonomous with Autumn!

• FUJI
  These sweet and juicy apples are crisp--perfect for eating.  They're also great for making applesauce and apple butter to last you all year long!
  

Peaches

PEACHES, PEACHES, PEACHES!!! So far, our peach orchards are looking excellent!!  We have thinned our trees and it is sad to see all of those little peaches on the ground, but there are PLENTY left on the trees!  We hope that the weather still cooperates and does not give us ANY cold weather! 

We will start our peach season around the middle of June with our ONLY cling stone peach.  Other varities follow each other approximately every 3 weeks.

Asparagus

ASPARAGUS IS SOLD OUT FOR THIS SEASON! Please check back with us near the end of February 2013 for information on our asparagus.

Reservations are now being taken for your group trips to our orchards.  We offer orchard tours for children's groups, church groups, and retirement communities.  Do you have a group of friends that would be interested in visiting our farm and spend part of your day in our orchard?  We are a family oriented farm and enjoy conversation with our visitors.  Plan a trip this summer and pick up your tree ripened peaches and apples right here on our farm!
